The Center for Information Assurance (CIA) at the Cal Poly Pomona College of Business Administration (CBA) provides advanced research and knowledge in audit, security and computer forensics.

News

The NSA and DHS have designated California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, as a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education for 2005-2008.

Mission

The mission of the Center is to serve as a focal point for Cal Poly Pomona’s involvement in information systems audit, security, forensics and other aspects of information assurance. To this end the Center will bring faculty together with external audiences and other resources for purposes of research, information dissemination, curriculum development, training and community outreach in these areas.

Current Events
Western Regional Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition

California State Polytechnic University, Pomona will host the first 2008 Western Regional Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC). The regional competition is a 3-day event and is held on March 28, 29, and 30. The winning regional team will then compete in the National CCDC where they will compete against other regional champion teams.

Information Assurance Mini Boot camp

The mini boot camp provides faculty with an intense low cost 1 week series of short courses in Information Assurance curriculum.
