The MBA program is open to professionals who hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline from an accredited college or university. Students are admitted each quarter. The admission policy is set by the Graduate Programs Committee and carried out by the Graduate Director. Decisions are based on available evidence of a candidate's potential for academic success on the graduate level. Below are step - by - step guidelines to assist applicants in the admissions process.

    • GPA - 3.0 Overall Undergraduate GPA
    • GMAT Score - Minimum 450
    • TOEFL Score, If Required - Minimum 580/237 (paper-based exam/computer-based exam)
    • Two Letters of Recommendation
    • Resume - Should include all work experience and specifically outline two years of supervisory or managerial experience

  • Steps for Admissions
    1. Fill out a current CSU application online by clicking here.
    2. Call ALL undergraduate institutions where academic work was completed (not just the schools where a degree was earned) and request two copies of official transcripts to be sent to: Admissions Office, Graduate Admissions, Cal Poly Pomona, 3801 W. Temple Avenue, Pomona, CA 91768
    3. Applicants must take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). The minimum score is 450. The GMAT must have been taken within the last five years. The test score must be an original copy. To send scores from tests previously taken, fill out the request form on the back of the GMAT application. Scores must be sent to the Graduate Business Office before admission is approved.
    4. Applicants who have graduated from a non - English speaking university must take a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). The minimum score accepted is 580 paper-based, 237 computer-based. Both the written and verbal portions of the test must be taken.     5. Two letters of recommendation from employers or former employers are required. Download Letter of Recommendation forms from above link, and distribute to recommenders. Recommenders may return completed forms to: Graduate Business Office, Cal Poly Pomona, 3801 W. Temple Avenue, Pomona, CA 91768 or fax to (909) 869-4559

    7. It is the applicant's responsibility to check with the Admissions Office to confirm whether the documents have arrived. The phone number is (909) 869 - 2000. When all documents have been received and a GPA has been calculated, the Admissions Office will forward the admission application packet to the Graduate Business Office.
    8. Approximately 3 - 4 weeks after receiving the application materials from Admissions, the Graduate Business Office will notify the applicant of acceptance status. If accepted, please make an appointment and have a meeting with Marguerite Pardington, MBA by calling at (909) 869-2362. During your meeting, a Program Contract will be developed and signed.
